The Lucas family were the winners of our silent auction donation to the Rotary Club’s April in Paris event that raised funds for the children’s areas of the new Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre. They don’t all live in the area but they came out for a sunny, but chilly, large group portrait session on Stewart Farm in South Surrey. Here are a few of our favorites …

We photographed the Bysouth family at Fish Trap Creek the other weekend when they were all in town. It’s been an exciting year fall for them as they have not one, but two adorable baby girls who have joined their family. Kerry and Marilyn glow whenever they’re near them or even just see a photo of them. Can you say proud grandparents? Here are a few favorites …

The Beheil and Dorrington families all got together and invited us out for a family portrait session. We enjoyed photographing them at the Dorrington residence in Vancouver which had beautiful landscaping. I feel like my mantra this fall has been, “Can you believe how beautiful the colours are?” We love making use of them in our photography. Here are a few of our favorites …

The Mauza’s all live in different parts of western Canada. Luckily for us, the head honchos have made Abbotsford their home. Which means, when they planned their recent family get together, we were contacted to do the photography.
We met them at Fish Trap Creek, the weather was gorgeous and they all remembered their smiles. We had a great time doing different family groupings and being entertained by all the young men. Here are a few of our favorites …

We were excited when Evita called us to use a gift certificate for a portrait session with her extended family. Her property is a photographers dream come true with trees, fields and gardens with a beautiful red, hip roof barn in the middle. We think of it as the cherry on the top of a photographic location sundae.
Her family was ready to go when we arrived and kept their easy going attitudes even when it started to pour rain. They were also great at avoiding the mounds of horse poop that were scattered around the field. The lighting was beautiful and we are very happy to show off a few of our favorites …

We met the Browns (what a great last name!) at Stewart Farm on Crescent Beach in White Rock, BC. The session was laid back and we enjoyed choosing different locations from the many possibilities around the property. I think it’s safe to say that everyone had fun and that the Browns are going to have some great memories of their family and the day as they look back at the photographs in the years to come.
Here are a few of our favorites …

Jake and Betty recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family and friends. Before the official celebrations began, we met at Tanglebank Country Gardens for some family portraits. The granddaughters wore yellow dresses and skirts as that was the colour of Betty’s bridesmaid dresses. Here are a few of our favorites …

Christmas is a great time to have portraits done if you have family coming in from out of town. Some of this family came in from Arizona for a true BC Christmas experience complete with family photos in the c-c-cold snow.
