It’s always great to see our work nice and large on a well designed website. MINIMAL Glass + Door showcases their stunning glass and door installations on their website in a range of fine residential projects that we photographed. See the rest of their work here
About a year ago, we had the privilege of photographing the celebrities at the first American We Day in Seattle. The Seattle Seahawks were there and we photographed a few of them wearing Artisans jewellery which is sold to support Me to We. In these photographs, they are wearing water rafikis which cost $10 and the sale of each one provides water for one person for a year.
Jason won two Best in Class awards from the recent Professional Photographers of Canada annual salon. To join the association, you need to submit images that demonstrate your photographic skill and then members are invited to compete in the salon each year by submitting up to four images for most participants and five images once you achieve the Master of Photographic Arts level. The image above, “Love Potion Number Nine” won Best in Class for Illustration. This is the second year in a row that Jason won this award.
We’ve been enjoying working with Kyra on a few projects that have been published in different fashion magazines. Here are a few of the tear sheets …
Thank you to our team who help us with these projects:
Micaela Bartel – hair for all images
Chrissy Lambert from Makeup Infusion – makeup on black and white images
Silver Anderson – nails on pink images
Do you know of a dance studio that needs an awesome dance photographer? We would like to work with one or two more Fraser Valley dance studios this year. We create stunning images, are great with kids of all ages, run on time and our pricing is very fair.
You can see a small sample of our dance images on Facebook. If you are a student or parent at a dance studio, please recommend us to your studio owner. If you are a studio admin or owner interested in finding out more about how we can make your photo day the best ever, drop us a line at 604-864-6339 or email@example.com.
Jason was honoured to have two of his images representing Canada in the 2013 World Photographic Cup. “Shoe-icide” which previously won numerous top awards in both British Columbia and National Professional Photographers of Canada salons was entered in the illustration class. “Radial Ascension” was entered in the commercial photography category and was an architectural image Jason created for a client. It previously won top architectural image in British Columbia for PPOC-BC.
The finalists have been announced and we want to extend our congratulations to all of the finalists. The photographs are phenomenal. We’re looking forward to hearing who the winners are!
Jason photographed another cover for the WestCoast Families magazine right in our area at the Taves Family Farms. It’s always nice to work with their artistic team to create something that looks great for their cover. You can read the magazine online here and we have some copies in our studio if you want to stop by to pick one up.
It’s the second time, Jason’s been honoured to have one of his images grace the cover of Gallerie magazine which is the publication that the Professional Photographers of Canada creates. This time it was his stunning image, Shoe-icide which has generated a lot of accolades this year. You can read a brief article where Jason discusses how he created the image on page 30.
Jason has two images selected by the Professional Photographers of Canada to represent Canada in the first World Photographic Cup. It is an huge honour to be selected to represent our country in his first International competition.
This image is titled Radial Ascension and was created of a glass elevator and staircase in a home in Vancouver that our client, Falcon Homes, built. Falcon Homes won several Georgie Awards for the home and it is to date, the schmanciest home that we’ve photographed.
One of our highlights for 2013 has been We Day in Seattle. We were asked to be their celebrity photographer to capture some of the stars wearing the Me to We Artisans jewellery line after they came off stage.
We have never experienced anything quite like it. Some of the people we rubbed shoulders with (or more accurately tried not to stare at) were Magic Johnson, MC Hammer, Jennifer Hudson, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Martin Luther King III, Canadian Tenors, Nelly Furtado, Kid President, Pete Carroll and four Seattle Seahawks, Martin Sheen and Hedley to name the ones who I can remember off the top of my head.
The We Day team is phenomenal and run a very efficient and smooth event. When you are coordinating that many celebrities, you need to be prepared for anything. So we watched from back stage and tried to act natural as we were interacting with and photographing people we’ve only read about before.
Jennifer Hudson had one of the largest crowds of people following her around and there was lots going on at the time so it’s a bit of a blur. One thing I do remember though is she knows how to work a camera!
