personal fun: 8×10 lego camera + diy bellows
I think it was the excitement of reserving an 8×10 camera system for renting over the holidays that inspired me to build one out of Lego while playing with the kids. When it came to making a bellows, I realized that building it out of Lego wouldn’t cut it – so I went and made an actual bellows by following the instructions here- which took 4 times longer than the Lego part (which still needs work to be complete). Here are some photos of my first attempt at making bellows and then with the Lego model camera:

Once I have the real 8×10 camera in a few weeks and make some images, I will post some film scans. It will be a new experience and a great change of pace from the instant gratification of digital photography.
