xander : first lost tooth

It was a momentous day. The day Xander’s been dreaming about since his friends started losing their teeth. Xander’s first tooth fell out!

The tooth fairy made her premier appearance at our house and left a toonie under his pillow. He’s funny about the whole tooth fairy thing. He says to me, “You’re the tooth fairy, aren’t you?” To which I give the annoyingly, evasive parental answer, “What do you think?”

He’s pretty sure we are covering for the tooth fairy but there’s still a sliver of doubt in his six year old imagination that thinks maybe there is a tooth fairy with a house full of jars of baby teeth …
