Jayden had his annual portrait session at a junk yard in Abbotsford. We find that having kids come back each year for photography keeps us creative with coming up with new + unique locations and ideas for their sessions. Jayden started his session a little sad because his cat went to kitty heaven. After he discovered the bus + got to stand on top of a car he seemed to forget all about his sadness + had a great time. We’ve been running into Jen + Alan at our neighbor’s birthday parties and have started to get to know them. They recently invited us out to his parents’ place to do some family pictures. The house is beautiful + has won awards, plus the location is scenic. I have a soft spot of Mt. Lehman acreage. The family was relaxed and we got some great portraits with four generations in them.
Blue Sky Baby is a rocking, family run kids clothing and products in Mission, BC. We recently did some promo photography for them of some of their fall clothing available in their store. The models were great and didn’t even complain about wearing sweaters on a hot day. Our kids got to model + Xander loved his sweater so much he asked to take it home. It’s always a treat for us to photograph people that we’ve known for years. Micaela is an amazing hairstylist + keeps our hairdos up to date. Erin + Jerome got married at Harrison Hot Springs Resort in September. It was a lovely day even though it did rain + drizzle at times. Only in BC can you get alternating sun, clouds + rain all day!
Jerome is from Georgia and Erin grew up in Abbotsford. They met by chance in Florida + made a connection that grew. Erin was a bridesmaid in Jen + Andy’s wedding that we photographed last year and Jen was in her wedding this year.
There are tons of great photos from the wedding + it’s always hard to narrow it down to a few to share on the blog. Here are a few of our favorites + we’ll be posting a wedding slideshow of more soon.
Erin + Jerome were our last wedding of the year and something interesting that I noticed with all of our couples in 2009 was we had no parents of the bride or groom who were divorced. There were several who had passed away but otherwise everyone was still married.
