As artists who have studied the classical technique of every art form we’ve tried, we know the importance of finding a teacher who is able to challenge students by insisting on proper technique while nurturing the students’ artistic passion.

Denise Lafortune, of the Lower Mainland Academy of Classical Ballet in Abbotsford, is such a teacher. Her students love to dance and they dance beautifully. Each year they receive high marks in their Royal Academy of Ballet Examinations and consistently place at the top of their classes in competitions.
