our family : home made beauty dish lighting

Filed under family • Written by browns @ 2:53 am

We make an effort every couple months to take some photos of us and the kids. (We also get professional photos done once a year as we like to practice what we preach.) So on New Years Eve, Jason unveiled a beauty dish he made out of a mixing bowl, a mirror, a CD and some other odds and ends for a quick portrait session in our office.

We were going to go with a hat theme but then Jason couldn’t find his favorite Nikon toque and we were all getting hungry so we nixed the hat theme. Like many parents who’s child is being photographed, we motivated Xander and Lexi with chocolate. Our kids are both amazing a posing but only give us a few shots before wanting to move onto more important things, like Lego.

Here is a picture of each of us welcoming in 2009 …
