We were excited to photograph the Francoeur family as they have been receiving personal coaching on how to rock a Revival Arts Studio portrait session from one of our veteran clients. The wardrobe, prop and location tips paid off but I’m sure Sara could have nailed it on her own with her own amazing sense of style and fun. The girls were super duper cute and had a blast being their adorable selves for the camera. Here are a few favorites …

While friendships change over the years, there’s something I love about being with old friends from my childhood. From Kindergarten to Grade 5, it was always “Darcie and Debbie”. We were the definition of best friends. I had Debbie’s back in Kindergarten when she choked on reciting her birth date or phone number during circle time. In grade one, she’d do the kissing after I caught the boys at recess. (Sorry, we no longer offer our catch, kiss, release and repeat services.)
I was honoured to photograph her first born son, Josiah, last week in our studio. He is a cuddly little guy with adorable lips. When he’s not sleeping, his favorite activity is eating. Today is Debbie’s birthday so I thought we’d post a few of our favorites …

Chrissy and Adam are now The Houlihans! They had a picture perfect wedding this weekend at the Ramada Inn and Conference Centre in Abbotsford, BC. This fall has been the most beautiful with the trees turning brilliant shades of yellow and gold. Not much seemed to get by Chrissy when it came to wedding details, so she was prepared with her own gorgeous fall wedding colours. This was a beautiful wedding for us to wrap up our 2008 wedding photography with. Here are a few of our favorites to momentarily appease the Houlihan fans until we get their slide show up in a few weeks …

We are half embarrassed and half proud to admit that we love looking at our own blog. Each photo brings stories to our mind. Stories of what went on at sessions. Stories of who the people are in the portraits. When we get to photograph people year after year the stories grow deeper and the portraits become more beautiful.
That is why we get excited when we get to photograph Allie and Avery who we’ve been doing portraits of since they were 11 months old. Kristen, Allie and Avery’s proud Mommy, is a master at planning their session complete with matching outfits and seasonal props with Christmas cards and gifts in mind. This year Daddy uncovered and rolled out the ultimate prop, his ‘61 Porsche. Here are a few favorites …

You can see how much they’ve grown … 2005 / 2006 / 2007

The Mauza’s all live in different parts of western Canada. Luckily for us, the head honchos have made Abbotsford their home. Which means, when they planned their recent family get together, we were contacted to do the photography.
We met them at Fish Trap Creek, the weather was gorgeous and they all remembered their smiles. We had a great time doing different family groupings and being entertained by all the young men. Here are a few of our favorites …

On Friday at 5:00, Xander came running down the stairs alerting us that there was brown water in the shower. Ugh. We are now dealing with a collapsed main and are not able to live in our home/office as we have no water. The all too familiar smell of disinfectant and the sound of the dehumidifier is back in our basement.
We will still be shooting all of our scheduled sessions as we are in the busiest two weeks of the year for portrait sessions. We apologize to our clients as it will take us a little longer than normal to return phone calls, email, complete print orders and get blog posts up. Feel free to call or email at anytime and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.
We are currently about 12 blog posts behind so please continue to check our blog as we have lots to show off including our last wedding of 2008.

Jen and Rylan are officially Mr. and Mrs.! We enjoyed photographing their wedding this weekend and were as relieved as they were that the weather turned out beautiful. I believe one of the Grandmas took credit for making the arrangements for that.
We did part of their formals at Fish Trap Creek where they had their first kiss. Awwwww. We also found a gorgeous field for them so we could get some photographs of them with the blue sky. With all the planning and details going into a wedding, it always amazes me how every wedding turns out perfectly. I think Jen + Rylan got everything they had hoped and dreamed for on their wedding day.
Here are a few pics to tide them and their fans over until we get their slideshow up in 2 - 3 weeks …

When we hop out of vehicle at a location knowing that we’re going to photograph four kids and the oldest is 5 years old, we never know what to expect. When we pulled up at Matsqui Trail Regional Park last week, we were greeted by the beautiful sound of four kids 5 years and younger laughing and running around. Even better than that, both parents were relaxed and smiling too! I have a strong hunch that Jayne is a Supermom. It was the hot boots that gave it away.
Here are a few of our favorites ….
