gorge harbour : more vacation photos
We enjoyed living in Gorge Harbour on Cortes Island for a week. Cortes Island is rather remote and is a 40 minute ferry ride from Quadra Island which is a short ferry ride from Campbell River. Unfortunately the weather was more on the cloudy and rainy side but we still had fun relaxing and hanging out with Jason’s parents. Here are a few of the hundreds of photos we took …
The entrance to Gorge Harbour

Lexi and Grandpa (Jason’s Dad) throwing rocks into the ocean.

Lexi 2 years and Xander 5.5 years enjoying the water.

Out for lunch with Jason’s parents, Peter + Donna, in Squirrel Cove.

Jason’s food often gets photographed before it gets eaten.

A bunch of Browns lounging by the ocean.

Self portrait.

Lexi shopping.

Eeek! A snake.

Jason and I out on a hot date at the Floathouse in Gorge Harbour. The food was amazing.

While we were on a walk in the rain Xander found a new friend. Unfortunately the friend made a dash for it when Xander wasn’t looking.

Reading our new book featuring Canadian art from the bookstore in Manson’s Landing.

Supper. Yum yum.

We have some more abstract and nature vacation pictures to post. It’s hard to narrow them down so we thought we’d spread them out a bit.

Great pics… just a couple comments/questions….
1 – Love it that Jason’s food gets photographed… I often do that too – usually with fancy desserts… so I can try to duplicate them at home!
2 – Did he eat the flower?
3 – on your “hot date” why weren’t you looking at each other? Darcie is gazing out the window and I’m not sure where Jason is looking :0) kidding!… I am glad you were able to get out on a date!
4 – How do you manage to get Lexi to keep a ponytail in?? It’s impossible with Elise!
Looks like you guys had a great holiday, and the photos are wonderful!

Sarah – He ate the flower which amazed the kids. Yum yum!
I think it hurts if Lexi tries to pull out her ponies so she just leaves them in. I use the teeny tiny ouchless elastics.
