pic of the week: ad layouts

I (Jason) did some more mock ad layouts in commercial photography at Langara College the past couple weeks. They are a bit dated – but it was more about the process of shooting for the layout than the actual ad content .

The first layout was a GAP fragrance ad (using a model friend from our neighborhood):

The second is an ad for a financial company – and it was made in two stages. The first shot was the gentleman lying on a white background. Finally, we shot the shoebox with the tissue paper on the wood planks. Photoshop was used to carefully merge the two images:
