Karina + Phillip were looking for something unique and artsy for their engagement session. So Jason took them downtown Abbotsford for an urban session and had a blast trying different things.

Amber is updating her modeling portfolio and came to us for some fun and trendy photography. What makes her extra special to us is not her gorgeous eyes and flawless skin but the fact that she is one of Lexi’s favorite people in the entire planet. We had a great time photographing her and found some great spots in downtown Abbotsford, BC.

The Nickel family recently got together and invited us to come take a portrait of them all together and some additional family groupings. Jason managed to get some great candids at the same time.

Pam + Eric were married this weekend at Cascade Community Church in Abbotsford, BC. They had booked some time at the historic Trethewey House so we were able to do some photography there before heading over to the reception at the Ramada Conference Centre. The Olthuis family found us through the Westcoast Baby website and invited us out to their home in North Vancouver, BC to do some family portrait photography. Their daughter wore her beautiful, hand-made christening gown and their son had a special submarine to play with.

The Samras have an adorable daughter and wanted some outdoor, natural photography with us. We had a great time photographing them at Gardner Park in Abbotsford, BC.

It’s been good to get professional development throughout the year at seminars, etc., — but I didn’t expect to attend a one-day seminar put on by two of the best wedding + portrait photographers in the world!

On Monday, I had the privilege of seeing Bambi Cantrell and Jerry Ghionis for a whole day, to learn about the art and business of wedding photography. All I can say is wow. It was a big inspirational boost to say the least.

I got a few images from the day but they don’t really make a good substitute for actually being there.
