We believe that life is better when it’s a multisensory experience. Great photos and music are a natural combination that we use regularly in our studio and now on our website too.
When we show you your portraits for the first time, we will treat you to a slideshow complete with music. If you’re really lucky and we haven’t drank it all, you’ll even get a Jones Soda or Starbucks coffee.
Check out our website to listen to our new tune, and to view our updated Life Galleries and commercial client list.

Meghan Kotai came with her boys for her maternity portraits. She is 33 weeks pregnant with her third son. She’s a natural, bold woman so we braved the rain and went to an Abbotsford park to do her maternity photography session. She is a doula and as you can tell is very comfortable with her pregnant belly. Here are a few of our favorites…

This weekend we went to Deas Island to do a photography session for Pinky Blue, a trendy children’s boutique in Richmond. The models were energetic and had a great time. We were impressed by the great clothing for boys and girls that Vanessa carries in her store. Here are a few of our favorite photos…

Congratulations to Nicole Garza, founder and designer of Mally Bibs, for being featured in Chatelaine’s article “Mothers of Invention” (May 2007). Nicole had us photograph her 2007 leather bibs line and professional headshots that were used for the article.

While we shoot digital, we still do have film cameras that we use at our portrait sessions. We use film for cross processed and infrared film. Cross processed film has amazing punchy colours and if you have a good photographer and lab, the skin tones will still be natural (not green or other off-color). Since it takes longer to get the photographs back, we usually don’t blog them but we thought we’d post a few recent shots…
From Kirstal Barret’s session for her CD cover. These photos are taken with a vintage Roliflex twin lens reflex camera…

And a few photographs from Heather and Zac’s engagement session…

Kristin recently turned three and we gladly helped her celebrate. There was pizza, cake, friends and a plethora of presents. Xander was one of the assistants to the birthday girl and helped her rip open her gifts when she wasn’t keeping up the pace. The highlight for her was a fluffy, frilly, pink princess dress that completes her heels and tiara, while Xander and a few friends were passionate about her tea set.

We photographed the entire Schmidt family in front of the barn that Dave and Mary Schmidt built. Four generations of Schmidts have lived on the property in Mt. Lehman. Here are a few of our favorite portraits from their photography session…

Steve + Sarah came for a family portrait session in the blossoms at the Abbotsford City Hall. Scott + Todd weren’t so sure of having their picture taken at first but when they realized it was going to be fun they got in on the action which consisted of running, jumping, chasing bubbles, playing with Rover (the infamous dog puppet who is responsible for 1000s of smiles in our portraits), catching blossoms, ripping up grass, climbing stairs, circling a monument and trying to pump water out of the fountains. Whew! Elise contentedly watched it all. Here are a few of our favorites…
