Sydney came by our studio this weekend for her 18 month pictures. She brought along her purple bunny aptly name Violet, her Mommy and her baby brother who will be arriving in April. Here are a few of our favorites from her portraits…
Eva is a darling, little 3 week old that we photographed this week at her home. She was content to sleep through most of the session with the occasional squawk when we moved her. Big sister, Maria, was very gentle and even posed for a few photos with her mom, Heather. Here are a few of our favorites…

We went up to Stillwood Camp and Conference Centre this weekend to take some portraits of the Martens family while they are all in Canada. This family has grown a lot in the past few years as there are five girls under the age of 2.5 years. They were all absolutely adorable. Here are a few of our favorites…
I (Darcie) have had amazing media coverage for my Kindermusik studio – The Little Brown Music Studio this past year. I have managed to be featured on TV and in the newspaper countless times. Now to start off 2007, I am making my first appearance on radio.
On Friday, January 19th at 3:00, I will be a guest on a live CBC Radio presentation on music education for children. I am their babies and music specialist and am looking forward to sharing some experiences and things I’ve learned working with the littlest of music makers.
I’m trying not to think about it too much as the “live” part is making me nervous. You won’t want to miss this as the producer has requested I sing a baby favorite “Listen, Listen” a capella and jingle my keys! I will be on between 3:10 and 3:20.
We are very proud to have had the above photograph selected as the front cover of 2007 edition of Brides released annually by the Abbotsford Times. Allegedly, the designers were disappointed RaeChelle was an actual bride and no longer available. We also will have some additional photographs and articles in the magazine. Look for it to be released the end of January.
We are also looking forward to participating in the 2nd Annual Valley Bridal Expo happening on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Heritage Park (only 15 minutes down the highway from Abbotsford) from 9:30 to 5:00 p.m. There will be showcases of the latest wedding fashions and a chance to win a dream wedding. Kyra was 19 days young at her portrait session. She had just finished a leisurely feed and was relaxed throughout her entire portrait session. When we arrived at her place, we were pleased to find a bright, rust wall that complimented our trendy baby bowl.

We found the cutest buggy to use in our portrait photography. It is perfect for children who can sit up, but aren’t mobile (around 6 – 10 months depending on your child). It will also look great with toddlers and preschoolers who are into dolls.

Lisa recently received a portrait photography session after extensive pampering at Exclusively Yours Hair Design and spa in Abbotsford. After a looong day of massage, nails, hair and makeup, she arrived at our door not knowing who we were or what was going to happen.
Her husband, Mark, had brought along a couple changes of clothes so she’d look smashing and later took her out to a romantic dinner. It sounded like the perfect day!
