Our Families in the Park sessions (see photos here, here, here, here and here) were so successful, we are offering a similar promotion. On Wednesday, August 30th, we will be offering multiple sessions in a downtown Abbotsford, urban setting.
These sessions are open to anyone returning to school as a student this fall. You can come by yourself for some fashion-style photos, or bring some friends to have some fun, group shots done. You will receive 20 low resolution files of your best photos on a disc.
There are a limited number of spaces, so sign up now by phoning 604-864-6339 or emailing to avoid disappointment.
Here are some photos we have done previous in downtown, Abbotsford locations.

We photographed Steve and Leah’s wedding in April 2005 and today I did their son, Ryder’s, first portrait session at Fish Trap Creek in Abbotsford. He’s a cutie who is easy going and loves to eat. Here are a few of our favorite photographs…

Ryder has the cutest little faux-hawk.

Here’s the beautiful family.

Ryder with Steve who you can definitely tell is his daddy.

No teeth yet.
I had the opportunity to photograph the rest of Katherine’s family last week - husband Chris and daughter Kadeja completed the family portrait. Kadeja also had some portraits done just like sisters Brooklyn and Jayden.

We sent Lexi’s photo and birth announcement to the newsletter Babyvibe and her baby picture was in yesterday’s issue. You can click the photo above to see the whole newsletter.
With the wide array of coffee joints in the area, I thought it would be interesting to see where you get your fix. (If your brewer is not listed, feel free to share it as a comment.)

I had a relaxing time photographing Angela + Derk on the beach and pier at White Rock. They are having a destination wedding and when they saw Ben + Carly’s engagement session, they wanted one too.
Here are a few of my favorite photos:

Angela + Derk under the pier at White Rock. This portrait is taken with infrared film which gives it an etheral quality.

This portrait was made with my “high-tech” Holga camera. The vignette at the edges and slight soft focus are a couple of the “quirks” of this fine $30 camera.

Here’s the complete series made with the Holga

Angela.

Derk.

The couple together.

I’m not sure why, but I just like this one. It makes me think of a mirage.

Their engagement ring with the churning surf beyond.

We had to take a photo on the train tracks with the sun going down. The back lighting was fabulous.

The sun setting behind the pier.

A cool toned portrait in the last light of day.
Today was a perfect day and Warren and RaeChelle were wonderful to photograph - they are beautiful both inside and out. Have a great trip to Maui!

Warren couldn’t stop smiling during the wedding ceremony at Trinity Chrisitan Reformed Church. Here he is watching RaeChelle walk up the aisle.

I love their expressions. Can you feel their excitement?

The bride and groom were both very natural in front of the camera. We spent some time at Gardner Park taking tons of photos.

RaeChelle…

Warren…

+ the whole wedding party.

RaeChelle is a gorgeous bride.

Warren showing off his ring.

RaeChelle made all the favors for the reception at the Ramada Inn in Abbotsford.

The flowers were astounding. RaeChelle’s friend did a fabulous job. (Can someone post a link to her website in the comment section?)
We decided it was time to have a photo session of the kids, seeing as it was Lexi’s one month “birthday” and we hadn’t got any photographs of Xander and Lexi together.

Dreaming of their future together…

A loving big brother
