pauline + curtis : wedding on the first tee

Filed under weddings • Written by Jason @ 11:41 pm

Pauline and Curtis tied the knot today on the first tee at The Falls golf course in Chilliwack. Even though it looked like it might rain, they ended up having perfect overcast weather with the occasional blast of sunshine.

The whole day was incredibly peaceful, serene and beautiful. Here are some photos…

After getting ready, Pauline and Curtis had a few moments to greet each other for the first time and then we were off for couple portraits.

It was a total West Coast wedding with the cedars, the rocks, the mountains and the overcast weather.

The not-so-little golf cart that could. It was fun cruising around in golf carts to all the different locations. Here the wedding party is heading off in their limo to the wedding reception at The Falls Clubhouse.

mally bibs

Filed under commercial, portraits, product • Written by Jason @ 9:31 pm

Yesterday, we photographed children modeling some of the new bibs in the 2006/2007 Mally Bibs collection. The weather was perfect. The children were cute. And of course the bibs are wonderful.

Here’s a sneak peek of a few of their new bibs in the 2006/2007 collection.

Olivia will look familiar from her Families in the Park session. She is one happy baby and has the cutest smile. She’s crawling now.

Aushin will look familiar from Darcie’s signing classes. He has a great baseball throwing hand and loves to smile for Mommy and Daddy.

Malia, Lucas and Aiden had a picnic. They’re wearing the larger, toddler bibs which are new for this year’s collection.

Melissa will look familiar because she’s our niece. She’s on the move, is full of smiles, and says “hi” or “bye” to everyone she sees.

mission folk festival

Xander and I spent a hot Sunday afternoon at the Mission Folk Festival in Heritage Park in Mission, BC. We saw a variety of musicians perform and scoped out several vendor booths (specifically, the one that sold fudge).

Xander seems to already have developed musical opinions – we stopped at one stage, with slower acoustic ballad-style music playing, and Xander promptly says, “Daddy, this is boring”. I think he really enjoyed the last group we saw – Pied Pumpkin. During the show, he was ecstatic as he sat in a tree that had ‘BIG ARMS’.

tyson’s 3rd birthday

Filed under children, personal, portraits • Written by Jason @ 12:23 am

Xander’s buddy, Tyson, had his 3rd birthday this weekend. We had fun getting together with his family and friends at South Poplar School for some baseball, cake, presents and fun.

Tyson and Xander greeted each other right away. We’re not sure what they said, but Xander came and told everyone, “Tyson said, ‘Thanks for the present.’”

Playing some baseball which Xander consistently shortens to “base”.

The cake. Did we mention Tyson really likes sports? Both his parents are athletic and he already can throw, hit and run like a pro.

Mmmm. Cake.

Time for some presents. Tyson’s buddies were so excited to have him open their presents.

Tyson was surrounded by enthusiastic ‘helpers’ as he opened his presents. Xander asks everyday to go over to Tyson’s to play with his presents and he lists what he all opened in eager anticipation – especially the Roboots, dump truck and Nemo video.

I recently did a photo session of a Lakeside Garden Estate in Mission for realtor Lisa Berlin. She put together a sweet website with the photos and information on the property and house. I also did her promotional headshots back in January.
