I had the priviledge of dining with several other photographers from around Vancouver, BC last week. Most of have one thing in common: we are members of an online professional photography forum called the “DWF” or Digital Wedding Forum. So it was real cool to see some people in person, not just as text on a computer screen!
There was definitely a buzz of energy – many of the photographers present had just returned from the WPPI convention in Vegas and had been inundated with tons of information and inspiration. I sure hope to go next year…
Here’s some snapshots from the evening –

Here’s some favorites from a casual engagement session with Shelley, Kenny and kids.
Looking forward to photographing the wedding on June 10th!

Meet the energetic and enthusiastic Sidhu family. They are about to plant a church in Abbotsford and needed some family and individual photos. We had fun in the sun at Ridgeview Park and here’s what we ended up with…

We are relocating our office to our master bedroom this afternoon. Due to a sewer backup early Thursday morning, we now are moving both Revival Arts Studio and The Little Brown Music Studio upstairs into less than 100 square feet instead of our normal 800.
Tomorrow the wonderful cleaners and fixers from Edenvale will come tear out our ceilings, drywall and carpets. So if it takes us a little while this week to return your email or phone call, you’ll know why – we might be sleeping in our office.
Stay tuned for our draw winners announcement from the Gotta Be Kiddin’ Family Festival this weekend.
Wow, only 2 days to go!
If you come by our display at the Gotta Be Kiddin’ show at Tradex, be sure to ask about our Pocket Galleryâ„¢!
See you on Friday…
29 weeks and counting:

– and the bowels. Swedish researchers have concluded that exposure to art can ease constipation. Their test subjects met every week for four months to view and discuss visual art. At the end of the course they showed a wide range of physical benefits including more regular bowel movements. A control group which discussed other hobbies and activities did not show any improvements. The researchers of the art-group recorded more “positive attitudes,” lower blood pressures and its members used fewer laxatives.
We are not told what art was viewed. Was it good art or any old crap?

Some info that I thought relates well with the caption contest image.
Dynamic Dance Studio in Abbotsford, BC has started a new company of dancers called ‘Fueled’. Their focus will be on commercial hip-hop dance.
We had a great session near the studio last week producing some head shots and group shots for promotion. Here are some favorites:

Dynamic Dance can be reached at 604.859.3312.
A while back I photographed a group of talented guys called “Hasting” for the promotion of their band (formerly “Gone Before Gray”). The images were to be used for their CD artwork. I finally got my hands on their CD!
They have an interesting sound – check out their site to hear samples. You can also see many images from the photo session there as well as here.
